Partly because i received feedback that my posts are too long and wordy, but mostly because my life is utterly boring right now, things will probably be shorter from now on.
Tried to work a bit on that 100-word write-up again. was discussing with yeeni online, but these kinds of things are rarely productive, and this time was no exception. it's just so hard to bounce ideas around and really stay on-topic when there's no face-to-face communication. at first we wanted to invite ivy to the group convo to discuss further, but she thought that we should wait till monday when we can meet up after training. well, she does have a good point there, cos i think that real-life meetings will definitely be more productive than msn group convos (which isnt really saying a lot; in fact, hockey meetings in general dont really go anywhere). well, i guess that's why she's the captain eh? however, i do have a few misgivings about this suggestion. we're all gonna be tired out after training, and to make matters worse it's gonna be our first coach training of the holidays, and the seniors say that he almost always ends 2 hours later than is expected of him. good for our coaching funds, not so good for our immediate physical well-being after trainings. i can just picture a group of zombies all semi-conscious from fatigue and still trying to be all poetic. and of course, CCAB is not exactly the most conducive place for a meeting, especially with the next group of hockey players, whoever they may be, shouting and hitting across the entire pitch. i guess we'll see how it goes? i hate how our admin matters always seem to be so unstructured and disorganised, but i guess im being a hypocrite since i can barely keep my own life in order.
i need inspiration for the write-up! i have no idea whether we should be humourous or nostalgic or grateful or with well wishes or some other style. i wish the councillors could have been more specific regarding what kind of a video they were aiming for, or at least i want to look at what the other ccas are doing so we can conform and not stick out like a sore thumb in the video. ok, im suddenly reminded of the chinese A level compre passage. it described how Walt Disney was inspired to create Mickey Mouse after a mouse that has stayed in his studio for ages got so used to his presence that it would actually eat his food and dance in front of him. who knows, 11 years of chinese might actually have some sort of practical benefit after all. all that's left to do is wait for that mouse to tell me what to put for the 100-word write-up.
another cool song from The Human Abstract, this one's called Crossing The Rubicon. i have no idea what a rubicon is, but the song's cool so i dont care.
