The lap is nearly over, but the race has barely begun

So many groups had their OP today, and the guys from chin and edmund's groups even decided to go LAN to celebrate (and even jacob joined in lol). seeing so many people finally complete their SH1 journey, it's kind of a sucky feeling to know that yours will still be 2 days away. even worse when you realise you will literally be one of the last few people in singapore doing PW. haha, it's just a random connection i made, but since im the last speaker of the last PW group with the last timeslot, that makes me one of the last speakers in the country! well, that epiphany wasnt exactly comforting; it just made me realise how much more i have to wait.

anyway, the wii is working out great. MKWii is still great, but im only just starting to realise the potential of SSBB. seriously, the amount of strategy and potential in that game, all the different combos and stuff, it's just mind-blowing. im starting to see why it was 2008's fighting game of the year. and yet, the show-stealer in my family is the humble yet accessible wii sports. well, since that's the only game my parents want to play when they're around, i guess it's THE game by default. meh, its fun, but i'd still rather play SSBB.

speaking of which, i have to say that parents playing wii is one of the funniest sights you'll ever see. my father had an epic fail when he couldnt find the A button (there are only 2 game buttons on the Wiimote, A and B), and his victory dance is really a sight to behold XD

OP is coming to an end, hockey training and OGL stuff gonna start soon, and there's the wii waiting back home. i think my emo-ness will end soon :)

i think i've been neglecting A7X somewhat, given that they were my first metal band and all. tis song's not too heavy, but it caught my attention cos of the interesting tune and tempo. it's sung from the point of view of a rattlesnake, so that in itself i find quite interesting. so here's Sidewinder:
