One step at a time

First pitch training since i can remember, and as farouq put it, "at least got a little bit of progress". well, maybe a bit too little, but progress is progress and beggars cant be choosers. mostly there was utter chaos without the coach there, but with farouq and lim we managed to scratch together a somewhat sketchy plan of drills which we carried out. even the st andrews coach saw that we were fumbling about (he was waiting for his pitch to start), so he offered to help organise friendlies should we need something to do during pitch. well, at least from that training we managed to get contacts for friendlies. after our pitch booking ended we stayed to watch a friendly between cjc and st andrews sec. if im not wrong the final score was 4-1 to SA. those guys are seriously good. even though they were lacking in physical fitness (being sec school students and all), they still managed to beat cjc with skill alone. talked a lot of crap with the hockey guys while watching them, but personally while watching the match i was just constantly reminded of how much more we have to go to get to that kind of standard. one step at a time i guess.

I was randomly surfing the internet when i came across this hilarious video. it's a parody of lady gaga's music video for Bad Romance. in case you've never seen it, here's the original for comparison:

personally, i dont really like this song. i do like the "ra ra ro ma ma" hook and the bridge though, but the rest of the song is a bit bleh for me. and i dont really get the mv either. is she supposed to be prostituting herself (the part with the laptops showing "lady gaga $1000000")  for the sake of revenge (end scene with guy burnt to a crisp in bed) or something? in any case, here's the parody, the thing i really want to focus on:

the little kid got everything right, down to the weird hand clawing and the weirder thrust-hand-into-pelvis-region motion in front of the mirror (watch the original again if you dont believe me).
